Set Defined, Realistic Goals
Don't set yourself up for failure! Set tangible, short-term goals that will help you work your way to your ultimate long-term goal.
Chart your Diet
Holmes Place Chicago Personal Trainings ask that clients document what they consume each day. Most people aren't aware of what they put into their bodies. By journaling your daily diet, you'll become in-tune with your body.
Start Smart
Don't overextend or overexert yourself. While pushing yourself to the extreme may seem like it will help you reach your fitness goals faster, it will actually hinder your progress. Many people start-off their resolutions too aggressively. They take some time off to recover and never get back on schedule.
Have A Plan of Attack
Tailor your workout to your specific goals. Are you looking to gain muscle? Increase flexibility? Burn belly fat? These goals require specific exercises and use of certain equipment. Talking with a personal trainer can help ensure your fitness routine is helping you achieve your desired objectives.
Don't Count on "Quick-Fixes"
Any product claiming you will lose drastic weight in 30 days needs to be duly looked at. The majority are rarely FDA approved. If there were a magical pill that enabled people to lose weight quickly, we wouldn't have gyms or diets. Going for the easy way out will most likely leave you feeling disappointed and discouraged.
Have Fun
Working out at a great gym can be a tremendous stress release. When clients start noticing results and feeling stronger they get more confident and empowered to try new things.
